Holding of the 11th International Joint Summer Seminar “Sustainable Development of Cities and Communities: Thriving Locally in a Global Age”
The International Joint Summer Seminar “Sustainable Development of Cities and Communities: Thriving Locally in a Global Age” will be held from August 5th to 8th. Students from our overseas partner universities, the University of the Philippines Los Baños (Philippines), IPB University (Indonesia), Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea), National University of Mongolia (Mongolia), Mongolian University of Science and Technology (Mongolia), Honolulu Community College (USA), Maui Community College (USA) and Kapiolani Community College (USA) plan to participate in this seminar. Together with UNP students, they will visit companies and facilities in Niigata city, Uonuma/Minami-Uonuma area and Tokamachi area to explore ways for sustainable development of the region in a Global age.
On July 17, the “Summer Seminar Online Social Networking Event” was held so that students who will take part in the Joint Summer Seminar could get to know each other via Zoom before they meet in person next month.
