International affairs staff from the University of Hawaii Community College visited UNP
In anticipation of increased opportunities for exchange—post pandemic, international affairs staff from the University of Hawaii Community College visited UNP in May and June.

Mr. Brian T. Yamamoto (International Education Committee Chair) and Ms. Kyoko Ikeda (International Program Coordinator) from the University of Hawaii Kauai Community College made a courtesy visit to UNP. During their visit, they exchanged opinions with Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Affairs Nobuko Murayama, Director of the Center for International Exchange, Reiko Ishii, and staff of the International Exchange Division about improvement of the system for accepting international students and the possibility of future joint research. Ms. Deborah K. Nakagawa, Director of International Education from the University of Hawaii Community College, visited UNP, and exchanged opinions with Director of the Center for International Exchange Reiko Ishii and staff of the International Exchange Division on issues related to study abroad procedures and other matters. During the visit, she also gave our students a chance to make leis, (a traditional Hawaiian necklace). (Right photo)
