Features of the Faculty of Human Life Studies

–Are you fulfilling your dreams for the future?

Based on the concept of Quality of Life (QOL), the Faculty of Human Life Studies, with a focus on education and food, nurtures individuals who can contribute to the realization of a society in which everyone from children to the elderly can live a vibrant life. To this end, students learn the necessary basic knowledge and concepts related to keywords such as development, education, food, health, and welfare.

What you can learn at the Faculty of Human Life Studies

The Department of Child Studies aims to nurture human resources—people who will be responsible for childcare, childcare support, and other closely-related fields. The Department of Health and Nutrition, through food education, aims to nurture individuals who can contribute to health promotion.

As the term “nutrition education” clearly indicates, the issues of food and education are closely related. By studying subjects common to both the Department of Child Studies and the Department of Health and Nutrition, it is possible to nurture childcare professionals with a basic knowledge of food and health and equip registered dietitians with a basic knowledge of human development, education, and welfare.

While capitalizing on the characteristics of these two departments, we work to contribute to the realization of a society in which all members can lead a rich and fulfilling life. By providing a meticulous education that is attentive to each individual student, the Faculty of Human Life Studies aims to nurture professionals with a rich sense of humanity and a high level of expertise.
