国際協力機構（JICA）、国際協力銀行（JBIC）等にて30年以上、国際開発に従事した実務経験を踏まえ、東南アジアを中心に、開発途上国の経済社会開発の政策面の研究等を行っています。常に変化し続ける国際環境の中で、開発途上国・地域の開発課題を理解・分析するためには、経済学のみならず、国際関係論、政治学等の複眼的な視点が重要です。そのため、学生の持つ国際開発に関する興味関心を最大限に尊重し、それを一層高め、実り多い研究成果へと成長するよう、多角的な方面から指導するとともに、「クールヘッド・ウォームハート」の精神で国際開発について皆さんと考えていきたいと思います。
