On June 4, 2025, ERINA-UNP held a public seminar titled “Forests in the Desert: Mongolia’s Challenge for Sustainable Afforestation and Environmental Education” at the University of Niigata Prefecture, with online participation also available.

The seminar’s theme was “technical cooperation,” which is unusual for events hosted by ERINA-UNP. However, recognizing that technical cooperation forms a fundamental pillar of economic cooperation, we decided to organize this event. During the seminar, Mr. Shuji Meguro, Director of the NPO Niigata Association for International Science and Technology Exchange, delivered a lecture on technical cooperation between Niigata Prefecture and Dornogovi Aimag, Mongolia.
