The University of Niigata Prefecture extensively researches current challenges facing business and society from international, regional, and individual perspectives and develops future leaders to seek out and resolve these challenges while making significant contributions to the development of our region.
Develop strong citizens who will contribute to 21st century society
Cultivate mature, well-grounded, humane, empathic, creative, and motivated graduates who will be ready and able to play a constructive role in international society.
Develop strong capabilities that students can employ on the global stage
Develop capabilities in students necessary for meaningful interaction with today's increasingly sophisticated, complex, and specialized society by teaching socially useful skills that include English-centric communication skills, skills required in child care facilities, and expert knowledge for providing nutritional guidance.
Support self-actualization and provide a meaningful campus experience
Provide effective support for students through the introduction of an adviser system tailored to address the needs of all students and provide them with the best possible assistance to realize their talents and achieve their goals while taking into consideration financial and other burdens that all students face during university life.
Support creative efforts to reinvigorate the region
Contribute to the creation of a better local society by producing graduates who appreciate regional culture and the natural environment and who can act meaningfully based on their knowledge of society and its culture.

Exploit Niigata's regional advantages and international potential in Northeast Asia as we strive to become an educational center in East Asia and work to build a stronger Niigata that reaches beyond our nation's shores.
